FREEDA LANGUAGE SPACE, S.L., a Spanish company with registered office at C/FLASSADERS 7-9, BJ, C.P. 08003, Barcelona (Spain), with C.I.F. number B-66068156 and registered in the Mercantile Register of Barcelona in VOLUME 43866, FOLIO 91, SHEET B440477, REGISTRATION 1 is the owner of the website www.freedaspace.com.

2. Responsibility for processing

FREEDA LANGUAGE SPACE, S.L. (hereinafter FREEDA) informs users of the website www.freedaspace.com about its policy regarding the processing and protection of personal data of users and customers that may be collected by browsing or requesting information through its website.

In this regard, FREEDA guarantees compliance with current regulations on the protection of personal data, reflected in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter “GDPR”), applicable from 25 May 2018, and informs you that it has implemented the necessary security measures, of a technical and organisational nature, to guarantee and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data entered.

3. Collection, purpose and processing of personal data

FREEDA collects Personal Data directly from the User: in person or online (when contacting customer service, enrolling in one of the courses or providing written information). FREEDA also collects Personal Data: through cookies, through your device (where you have enabled that feature on your device, FREEDA collects your physical location to provide you with personalised services and content based on your location), from business partners, such as local sales agents who promote sales of the courses in your country of residence, and from other sources, such as public databases; joint marketing partners such as marketing agencies, software providers and digital marketing automation and analytics services; social media platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram and messaging services such as WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger; from people you are friends with or otherwise connected to on social media platforms, as well as other third parties. In addition, FREEDA uses cookies to track members of social media networks as explained in cookie policy.

Whenever you visit FREEDA services, an IP address is automatically identified and logged, along with the duration of the visit and the page(s) you have visited. This data is only used and used together with other Personal Data you have submitted if you have given your consent to do so. FREEDA will process your Personal Data for the purpose of completing your booking and providing you with the services you have requested, for administrative and customer services or where necessary to perform the contract between the User and FREEDA.

FREEDA may also use Personal Data for statistical purposes, to enable you to participate in messages, chats, profile pages, blogs and use other services that give you the ability to post information and materials, to analyse and improve its offerings by identifying usage trends to determine the effectiveness of its promotional campaigns.

In turn, FREEDA informs users that the purpose of the processing of the data collected includes: attending to requests made by users, inclusion in the contact agenda and the provision of the language teaching service.

The required data are necessary to identify the users and to use and/or access the services and functionalities that they will have at their disposal in FREEDA LANGUAGE SPACE, S.L.

All personal data collected through the FREEDA website, and therefore considered as personal data processing, will be included in the file owned by FREEDA LANGUAGE SPACE, S.L. for the purpose of sending information, answering queries, generic contacts, application management, certificates and invoices. And all these data will be included in the different records of processing activities that are available to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (hereinafter “AEPD”) who is responsible for ensuring compliance with data protection regulations according to Spanish and European legislation in force, and before whom users can file a complaint if they consider that this platform has damaged their Fundamental Rights in terms of Data Protection.

FREEDA may contact Users by any available electronic means (web, email, telephone and/or messages) to send them notifications, inform them of updates or improvements relating to use and news or events of interest.

The legal basis for the processing of Users’ personal data is:

4. Communication of information to third parties

FREEDA assures the confidentiality of the data provided to this website and guarantees that under no circumstances will it be passed on to third parties, unless expressly authorised by the user, for example, to commercial partners such as local salesmen who promote the sales of FREEDA services in your country of residence; transport and accommodation providers; or the travel insurance company arranging your travel insurance; to service providers, such as providers of IT systems, e.g. for customer relationship management or payments, scheduling classes or storing learning outcomes; or providers of software and services for digital marketing automation and analytics.

FREEDA, in accordance with the legal requirements, has adopted the security levels for the protection of personal data and has installed all the technical and organisational means at its disposal to try to avoid the alteration, loss, unauthorised processing or access of the data.

5. User rights

Users are informed of the possibility of exercising their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition. Each person also has the right to limit the processing of personal data concerning him/her, the right to erasure of personal data transmitted to the data controller and the right to data portability.

The User has the possibility of lodging a complaint with the AEPD (Spanish Data Protection Agency) or the competent body of the respective Autonomous Community, when he/she has not obtained a satisfactory solution in the exercise of his/her rights by means of a letter addressed to the same.

Unless the User objects, by sending an email to the email address [email protected], their data may be used, where appropriate, if necessary, to send commercial information from Freeda Language Space S.L..

The data provided will be kept for as long as the commercial relationship is maintained or for the years necessary to comply with legal obligations.

The User is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided through this website, being responsible for the accuracy of all data provided and will keep it updated to reflect a real situation, being responsible for false or inaccurate information provided and the damage, inconvenience and problems that may cause to Freeda Language Space S.L. or third parties.

This information will be kept and managed with due confidentiality, applying the necessary computer security measures to prevent access to or improper use of your data, its manipulation, deterioration or loss.

However, the User must bear in mind that the security of computer systems is never absolute. Freeda Language Space S.L. declines any kind of responsibility for the consequences of these acts for the User, if he/she voluntarily published the information.

These rights will be dealt with within 1 month, which may be extended to 2 months if the complexity of the request or the number of requests received so requires. Within the context of the Course, students may be portrayed and/or filmed in images, photographs and recordings during lessons and academic activities organised as part of the programme, and FreeDa may use them in brochures, documents and other information media within the framework of its activity as a language school.
