I chose to study Spanish because I fell in love with my girlfriend Katja who I met in Barcelona. After a long-distance relationship of a year, I decided to come to Barcelona and study Spanish.
I chose to learn Spanish because I wanted to experience life in Spain with my girlfriend and also because I wanted a better opportunity to make new friends and feel more connected with Barcelona.
I definitely find learning Spanish has helped me to begin conversations with new people I meet in Barcelona and I also feel the warmth from the locals as I attempt Spanish with my British accent.
